This video is my personal response to a video. I saw online with a lot of negative comments regarding women who are raising kids by themselves and then ask the kids to do chores around the house. As a father, who personally has two boys who hopefully will become Parents one day, I would like them to know my opinion on this I would like them to understand that the reason why they do all the chores around our house is not because my wife is trying to get a comfortable life, but instead it is a way to make sure the building resilience and become honest productive members of our society . It is also not the role of little girls growing up to end up becoming caretakers for little boys. As a boy, you can wash your own clothes you can wash your wife’s clothes, including her underwear and that is not something to be ashamed of, but instead, it is something to be proud of. You can learn to cook and clean as well as do all the outside chores that your dad would traditionally have you do. I think this gender society that we have created is really a negative burden on how we grow up as children and as people in this world . After growing up in a family of three boys, we were able to do everything on our own because our mom was not a servant to the rest of us. It did not make us less of men to be able to do this. I also think that what is not said in the video and the comment is the fact that not every family starts at the same spot and if you are a family who is coming from poverty and trying to achieve middle class or middle class trying to achieve wealth or some other version of this, whether in monetary goals or socioeconomic goals of any sort then you cannot possibly allow someone else to determine how much chores you give your children, how much fun and playtime you give your children you have to determine this on an individual level they will not be around later when the kids have been grown without responsibilities and are now giving trouble as adults. They will not be around later when the kids grow up, entitled and forget about you in your old age. This video is one of the most dangerous videos I’ve seen in a long time and I think Antwon should really take it down or consider what he really saying to people. Just my two cents
